Will Nordt is a financial planner and founder of an advisory practice dedicated to helping business owners and high-income families make more purposeful financial decisions. His work centers on integrating tax strategy, investment management, and long-term planning to help clients preserve and grow wealth across generations.
Will holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and the Enrolled Agent (EA) license—the highest tax credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. This combination allows him to bring a unique perspective to financial planning, connecting investment decisions, tax strategy, and long-term wealth planning in ways that many advisors cannot.
He works closely with business owners navigating complex financial decisions, including tax-efficient compensation structures, employee retention strategies, succession planning, and preparing for a marketable exit. Individuals and families turn to Will during pivotal moments—growing a family, advancing in their careers, approaching retirement, or managing increasing financial complexity—often relying on him to serve as their family’s CFO and trusted fiduciary advisor.
Will’s areas of focus include advanced tax planning, investment management, and corporate advisory. His approach emphasizes proactive tax strategy and thoughtful financial design, helping clients make decisions today that meaningfully improve long-term outcomes.
Will earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics and Economics from the University of Virginia, where he also served as a Young Life leader at Journey Middle School in Albemarle County. He and his wife, Grace, live in Richmond with their miniature Australian Shepherd, Birdie. They are active members of City Church of Richmond and enjoy spending time with friends and their small group. Outside of work, Will enjoys golf, good bourbon, and cheering on UVA Men’s Basketball and Manchester United.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification mark CFP® in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
