Buddy is one of the three original founders of Virginia Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. He joined the financial services field because it allows him to meet and work with different kinds of people. He works with clients to help them examine their financial programs and find different ways to allocate their funds. Buddy's professional concentration is centered on helping businesses with continuation strategies, nonqualified benefit strategies, and employee benefits. Buddy holds the Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 registrations, and has the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
A native of Eastern Henrico County, Buddy still resides in the Varina area of the county with his wife, Kathie. He has three children, Kathleen, Andrew, and Jacob. Kathleen, his oldest child, graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Mass Communications and is an independent consultant and married. Andrew studied Mass Communications at Christopher Newport University and is married and works as an IT specialist. Jacob, the youngest child, is married, father of two and works as a route supervisor for Virginia Green.
Buddy served the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors association both as a board member and as past President. He volunteers his time with his church, Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, and the Varina Ruritan Club. In his free time, Buddy enjoys traveling, playing golf, bicycling, and baseball. He also likes many different outdoor activities and the close-knit community feel that the Richmond area has to offer.
