The 6-Step Private Client Process

Our process is driven by your image of the future. We work with you through every life stage, helping you to understand your personal financial planning options and drive effective decision making that works toward making your vision a reality. 

Step One - Detailing Client End Goals 

What would you like your financial future to look like? What is your time frame? For many of our clients, this is multifaceted. From strategic investments to education or estate planning, your specific financial scenario will look different from everyone else’s. Whatever your vision for the future looks like, it’s important that you spell out your goals.

 Step Two – Thorough Examination of the Moving Parts

Do you know what it will take to reach your vision of the future? Have you taken into account all of the moving parts, including balance sheet, cash flow, tax returns, benefits, insurance, estate planning documents, budget, etc. A thorough analysis will determine the resources necessary with the goal of sustaining your lifestyle after exit and define the Value Gap between your projected assets and what’s needed to meet your goals.

Step Three – Identify the Priority Action Items

This is how we’ll begin the process of closing the gap between the “end in mind” and your current reality. By identifying higher and lower priority action items, you can get a better idea of the balance you need to maintain to work toward achieving your goals and vision of the future. Additionally, ask yourself: are you mentally prepared to make difficult choices to reach your goals? The mental game is often more challenging than clients think, and action items help keep you on track.

Step Four – Execute the Plan

Now we put your financial plan into action. We will walk you through every step and every action item, educate you on the reasons behind them and how they correlate with your goals, and give you the tools you need to set the plan in motion. Our goal is to lead you to more efficient execution and better outcomes. 

Step Five – Be Ready to Pivot 

Life is not linear, and neither are your finances. Things are going to change, so you need to be ready to shift with them. On our end, you can rely on our commitment to continual development and teamwork to remain certain about your plan’s viability over time. We set up each financial plan to accommodate the pivots that will inevitably occur. 

Step Six – Review & Refine Consistently

We keep track of progress with a goals-based perspective, ensuring your plan stays aligned with what you value. Additionally, we consistently review your plan’s performance through the market and current economic reality. This allows us to continue running multiple planning scenarios and pivot to what works best for you where you are.
