Michael R. White

Mike entered the financial services industry in 1979 and co-founded Virginia Asset Management in 1986.

Mike specializes in financial, estate and investment planning for individuals and for owners of closely held businesses. He is the founder of Premier Resource Group (PRG), a national organization that provides assistance and resources to highly experienced financial services professionals within the Securian Financial Network. Mike is a past President of the International General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), an organization with a membership consisting of leaders of independent financial services firms from all over the world. Mike is also a past president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He has spoken to many audiences across the country and abroad about various financial services and other related topics including the firm’s training and mentoring program. This program has received international acclaim and remains an integral part of the firm’s success with helping new advisors into the industry.

Mike was inducted into the GAMA International “Hall of Fame” in 2009 which is awarded once per year to leaders of independent financial services firms for successful firm development, Industry leadership and community involvement. He has served on the boards of numerous local charities and foundations. He and the firm are active supporters of many charitable organizations in their fundraising efforts.

He is married to Lynn, and they are the parents of three children, Victoria, Kristine and Robbie. He and his wife Lynn enjoy spending time on the lake or at the farm with their children and grandchildren.

Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals. Membership levels are based on commissions, premiums, or fees generated within a year from investment and insurance products. Members must apply annually and pay a fee. Members must be members in good standing of a Professional Association which has met the following criteria: in existence at least 2 years, have 100 or more members, must be a nonprofit organization, must have a code of ethics and an effective means of dealing with breaches of its code.
