In 1990, Michael graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in Political Science. Five years later, he received a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Michael served as the Executive Director of the Community Memorial Healthcenter Physician-Hospital Organization, LLC.

Michael’s practice focuses on working with successful people who want to build an enduring legacy for their families, their communities and their businesses. He is committed to helping his clients achieve financial independence. He has a passion for financial education and speaks often, to various groups regarding different financial topics. Also, he has taught and conducted retirement and business courses and seminars at North Carolina State, Wake Tech and other locations.

Michael holds the Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living* designations. He holds the Series 7, 6, and 66 Security Registrations and the Life/Health/Annuity and Long-Term Care insurance licenses. In addition, he is a Qualifying Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and is a member of Premier Resource Group (PRG), a national network of experienced wealth advisors.

Michael resides in Chesterfield, VA, with his wife, Lisa, their four children, and two dogs. He has served on various boards and is active in his church. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and hunting.
