Operations Specialist

Midlothian, VA

Virginia Asset Management is seeking an individual to provide operational business support for their Financial Professional’s growing practices.  The primary role of this position is to provide new business and ongoing service support for investment, 401k, and insurance clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Operational and Administrative client service support to a team of Financial Professionals and their clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships including handling requests, researching and resolving issues
  • Prepare all client review meeting materials for financial professionals; handle all meeting follow-up action items
  • Continuous practice management and activity tracking, and provide proactive support to Financial Professionals
  • Prepare and process account applications, process asset movement requests and checks
  • Educate clients on account services and technology capabilities
  • Review work methods and procedures for continual quality improvements and efficiencies, and implement them when appropriate
  • Provide occasional personal and administrative support to Financial Professionals
  • Work closely with the other operations specialists, and provide backup support

Required Qualifications:

  • Series 7/66 & Virginia Life/Health Annuity license, or willingness to obtain within first 6 months
  • Relevant financial services industry experience or education
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Apple products
  • College degree
  • Ability to pass a criminal history and credit background check

Salary:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience, plus quarterly bonuses
