Susan Martin is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with over 28 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Securian Financial Services. She has worked extensively in the areas of investment portfolio allocation, financial goal setting, charitable and estate planning, and retirement plan designs. She has spoken at numerous workshops, forums, and seminars.

Susan has assisted clients through her past positions as a Vice President in the Wealth Management Division of two major banks, and has been affiliated with Virginia Asset Management for 8 years.

Susan earned her undergraduate degree in Music from Florida State University and an MBA degree in Finance from Texas A&I University. She is on the Board of Directors of Seton Youth Shelters, and serves as a Mentor to a young girl in that organization’s Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program. In past years she has held board positions on the Tidewater Estate Planning Council, the Virginia Beach SPCA, and the local Make-A-Wish Foundation, and has served as a mentor for elementary students in two local schools. She loves to travel with her husband, Bill, and enjoys a variety of activities including gardening, biking, boating, and cooking. Her newest endeavors are golf and ballroom dancing.
