Steve graduated Summa Cum Laude from Longwood College in 1993 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College. Steve is also certified in Long Term Care.

Steve has been with Virginia Asset Management since 1996. He is a licensed life and health insurance agent, as well as a registered representative and an investment advisor representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc. Steve is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Steve operates the South Hill office of Virginia Asset Management, along with Carmen G. Taylor, CLU, ChFC, CLTC and Michael A. Pugh, CLU, ChFC, CLTC.

Steve resides in South Hill with his wife, Michelle, his son, Kyle and his daughter, Regan. He is a member of the South Hill United Methodist Church, Gideons International, and enjoys coaching youth athletics.
