Mark is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Chartered Financial Consultant, spending many years in the banking industry before joining the Virginia Asset Management team.

Mark’s primary focus is working with small and medium size business owners and high net worth individuals assisting them with their planning and wealth accumulation and preservation strategies. Mark is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc.  He is a member of the Norfolk Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals and First Baptist Church of Suffolk, where he has served on the finance, constitution, and school committees.  Mark is Past-President of several organizations - the American Legion Post 57, the Suffolk Elks Lodge and the Suffolk Jaycees.  He is also a former board of directors member of the Suffolk Art League, and the Suffolk Shelter for the Homeless.

Mark, his wife Jan and their children Robbie and Olivia live in Suffolk. In his spare time, you might find Mark reading or playing golf.
