Dwain A. Blake II, a native of Charleston, West Virginia, serves in the Position of Field Director for Virginia Asset Management, LLC. After 14 years in the Financial Services Industry, Dwain joined VAM to aid in the recruitment and development of new advisors. Dwain entered the financial services industry in Morgantown, WV in 1997, after the divestiture of an Engineering firm he founded in early 1990. Dwain was a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table his first year as an associate of a Fortune 100 Financial Group and qualified for the MDRT as recently as 2010. Dwain entered management in 1999 and has managed multiple sales groups and branch offices for the Fortune 100 group in locations in WV, PA and most recently in Savannah, Georgia. Dwain is a Graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelors Degree in Geology and has also completed graduate studies at West Virginia University’s College of Graduate Studies. Dwain is a former Combat Engineer Officer and National Guard Officer in the United States Army and has held various positions in his career to include Company Commander, Environmental Officer, Senior Tactical Officer at Army Officers Candidate School, as well as numerous Company and Battalion Level Staff Positions. Dwain holds the Series 7, 6, 63, and 24 FINRA registrations and has completed the Life Underwriter Training Certification Fellowship (LUTCF) as well as numerous other industry courses. He is a registered representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc. Dwain is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and has served on the board as President of both the Morgantown, WV and Savannah, GA chapters. Dwain is also active with the American Cancer Society and has served as Chairman of the Community Volunteer Board and Income Director in the Southeast Georgia Chapter. Dwain is married to Tamei, with two children, Seneca Lind and Dylan Cole. He enjoys Native Trout fishing in the mountains of WV and VA, camping, hiking and snow skiing.
