With prior experience at SunTrust Investments, Genworth Financial and RS Investments, he has served as an investment consultant to large institutions for the majority of his career in 2011, Dan decided that he would like to focus on helping professionals, families and business owners achieve financial independence.

Mission Statement:

I formulate and customize targeted strategies to help my clients achieve their goals. Financial Independence allows my clients, whether professionals, families or businesses, to focus on the pursuits that they are passionate about. It can help afford them security to know their wealth is protected. I strive to provide a comprehensive analysis of client’s lives, including, but not limited to:

• Risk management: Do you have the proper insurance coverage in place? I can review your specific situation for potential insurance needs.

• Tax management*: I can help you make the most of tax-advantaged investment vehicles such as Traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, Annuities, and employer sponsored 401(k) plans. I’ll work hand-in-hand with your current CPA/ Tax Advisor to help ensure you’re reducing potential taxes. If you prefer, I can introduce you to one of several tax professionals with whom I have developed professional relationships.

• Investment Management: Are you prepared to take advantage of the next bull market? How do you intend to weather the next bear market? I can help you develop an investment strategy that seeks to help clients prepare for the long term.

• College Funding: How do you prepare for a college experience that could easily exceed $250,000? Let me show you tax- advantaged ways to save for college as well as other options for higher education. Did you know that some forms of savings can actually decrease your chances of receiving financial aid? I can help you with your education strategies.

• Retirement Preparation: What does retirement mean to you? Golf 5 days per week? More time with children and grandchildren? Travel? A new business venture? Whatever your definition is, I’ll help you make the most of it. At Virginia Asset Management, we combine technology with good old-fashioned common sense to help ensure your nest egg supports whatever you hold dear.

• Estate Planning*- It’s not just for the old and rich. Working with either your or our estate planning and trust specialists we can help preserve what’s yours for your chosen heirs through proper beneficiary designation and trust documents. I’ll work with you to help develop strategies that may reduce or avoid probate costs and estate taxes.
