D. Alan Walker, a native of Hampton Roads, is an equity patner of Virginia Asset Management, LLC and serves in the leadership role of VAM's Employee Benefits operation. Walker joined VAM in 1996 and has worked in the Employee Benefits Industry since 1985. Walker is a grauate of Longwood College (1985) where he received a BSBA with course concentrations in Marketing and Managment. Walker is a member of NAHU (National Association of Health Underwriters) and has served on Anthem's Broker Advisory Council, United Healthcare's Advisory Panel and Southern Healths' Broker Panel. Walker has coached and served in leadership roles in various non-profit organizations. Walker resides in Midlothian, VA (since 1990), with his wife Tami and three children.
