Carmen graduated from Radford University in 1980, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College.

Carmen has been with VAM since it began in 1986. She is a licensed life and health insurance agent, as well as a registered representative and an investment advisor representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc.

Carmen lives in South Hill with her husband, Stuart, and 2 children (Gallion and Jackson). She chairs the Planned Giving Committee and serves as Treasurer of the Community Memorial Foundation Board of Directors. She is also a member of the South Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
